FIFA investigates the Brazilian Federation’s contract with Ancelotti sports

The International Football Association (FIFA) asked its Brazilian counterpart to clarifications regarding the latter’s use of a broker who does not hold an agent license in the contracting process with Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti to supervise the national team, according to a document published by local media.

The Brazilian Federation stated – on Thursday – that it will deal with the situation “internally”.

FIFA ordered the Brazilian Federation to provide any receipts for the payments provided to this mediator, and to copy any exchanged messages with him regarding negotiations.

In his response to clarifying from the French News Agency, the Brazilian Federation said that “the conditions for negotiations include secret items, and the previous administration was set by the Federation headed by Edino Rodrigish, who was sacked on May 15 by a judicial ruling a few days after the announcement of the appointment of Ancelotti.

“The contract signed by Diego Fernandh with the Brazilian Football Association to appoint the Brazil coach is completely compatible with the Brazilian Football Association and FIFA standards.”

According to the statement, Fernandh worked as a “advisor” and did not have enough time to complete the necessary procedures to become an agent according to FIFA terms, given the limited time available to appoint the new coach who will succeed Dorieval Junior.

He continued that Diego Fernandh will not receive “the fair amount of his work as a mediator” until after obtaining his license, which was estimated by the Brazilian media at 1.2 million euros.
